Democrats=Republicans=Crazy

Think about it.....No support for gay marriage. No support for socializing the college system. No support for complete government-run health care. No opposition to the death penalty. No support for ending the unconstitutional drug prohibition. No opposition to the 2-party system. No opposition to the Electoral College. No support for campaign socialization. No calls for military reduction. No opposition to our uncompromised support for Israel. No criticism of capitalism. No concern over the corporate media. No support for major prison reform. No addressing the growing disparity of the lower and wealthy classes. No criticism of religion’s influence on policy. No renunciation of blind nationalism. No opposition to America being the world’s police. No debate about Iran’s right to a nuclear program. No support for stricter lobbying laws. No addressing the military industrial complex. No debate about the Unconstitutional War in Afghanistan. No opposition to the heavily orchestrated 2 party presidential debates. No opposition to the glorification of the war/military. No opposition to the corrupt U.N Security Council. No attention payed to ballooning deficits. No advocates of a sensible tax policy. No criticism of the increase of executive power. No criticism or even acknowledgement of America’s role as the biggest state sponsor of terrorism.

For those who think being a Democrat is a significant improvement over being a Republican, or even vice versa. I urge them to think twice. The Democratic and Republican Parties are two sides of the same coin. In actuality, they disagree on only a handful of issues. These issues grab the headlines, but almost nothing ever comes out of them after the campaign. Abortion will likely be decided by a Supreme Court, but even more likely is the Supreme Court will never take a case dealing with it. Gay Marriage is another such example. Both parties are pro-war, even if the Democrats claim otherwise. (Obama’s leaving 50,000 troops in Iraq-hardly a withdrawal.) Both parties use earmarks to get pork for their state, even though the whole issue is blown out of proportion. But most of all, both love indulging in what keeps them in power.

When compared to the rest of the industrialized world, both the Democratic and Republican parties are conservative. There is no choice, only an illusion of choice propogated by a corporate media that is also in bed with our government.

Kinda Depressing Really….but there is a solution. It's called thinking for yourself. Just because the media only claims there are certain issues you should pay attention doesn't mean you should listen to them.
